Why the Men are away...the Women will play!

Keith has been planning his annual hunt for the last-I don't know, 8 months or so. He was heading back up to Colorado for a 10 day hunt and thought it would be fun to have a reunion of sorts with some of his dental buddies. With this knowledge I called my mom about six weeks in advance and invited her to come visit. I also called my sister Whitney, who lives in Tenneessee, and told her she needed to come as well-knowing she wouldn't because the drive is just too dang far, but if she got the itch my door was open. With the hunt a week away, my other sister Taylor, who lives near Houston, called and told me she was inviting herself over with her three kids. Whitney was going to drive to her house and then they were going to car pool over. Another one of my sisters Caden, who lives in LA, also called and told me she was coming. The more the merrier!!! This was turning out to be more fun than I had anticipated. Keith worked a half day on Thursday and then was off to man country. Suprisingly my mom showed up that night-I wasn't planning on her getting here till the following day so it was a fun surprise. Caden who lives in LA was going to come with my mom but got sick last minute and didn't have the strength or energy to drive her share. Whitney and Taylor arrived the following evening after a 13 hour car ride with 4 normal voiced kids and 1 ear piercing screamer.
Rose and Rhet...who knew they could be best buddies.

Saturday the boys had a carnival at their school so we hit that up and the kids had a blast.

Taking a break to have some lunch and then hurry on out for some more fun!
Rhet, Talmage, Mont and Parker

The three babies-Elle, Tony (the ear piercing screamer) and Cannon

Fishing for duckies.  You pick up two ducks and if they match you get a prize-or course when you are 2 and 3 you get a prize anyway.

Talmage and Rhet loving the jumping obstacle course.

Going down the bouncy slide!

Kade with his hair painted.

Parker and Mont with their hair colored too.  All day long they thought it was so awesome!

Me with my sisters Whitney and Taylor and our babies.

One with Grandma and a few of the bigger boys.

There's no carnival without cotton candy.  Rhet wanted his picture taken of his silly face with the sugary goo all over it.

Sunday, was of course the sabbath, and the boys actaully had their primary program which they thought was cool to have so many people in town to watch them.  With keeping to the somewhat quietnes of the day, the boys tried on costume after costume.

Aunt Whitney with a gorilla mask and scaring her child at the same time.

Rose wanted to dress up too but since I don't have any girl costumes she opted for a pirate.

Monday, we spent the morning shopping at the outlets and then the rest of the day you could find us moms in a comfy corner of the hosue reading.

Tuesday, the moms and the babies ran to Target while Grandma stayed home to watch the 2 and 3 year olds.  Later we let the kidos play outside while Taylor cleaned out her car so they could get ready to leave the next morning.

Rhet surpervising the little babies.

It was so fun to have them here and my boys loved every minute of it.  Next time we'll have to do it in Teneessee or Houston!
