Boat = Lake

A couple weeks ago Keith attended a high adventure outing to Lake Powell.  He is an advisor in the teachers program and this year it was the teachers turn to organize the trip.  This was right up Keith's alley as he has grown up with boats, boating and trips to Lake Powell.  This trip has been six months in the making and for about that long Keith has been  (do I dare say) drooling, lusting, wishing, and searching for a boat.  With anything Keith does or wants you can count on him to research it till there's no more research to do.  And since I have had to hear about smokin' deals for the past several months it came as no surprise that we (or rather Keith) is the proud owner of a boat.  Since nothing of the sort exists in El Paso, Arizona was the next best place.  Our trip to AZ for the Fourth was only a tenth of the reason why we were there.  90% of the reason was to take this boat to the lake and test it out.  I don't know much about boats as it wasn't something I grew up with but according to Keith it was a pretty sweet deal in all aspects.

Just left the dock and cruisin with the wind in our hair and our mouths open.

This was the first time the boys were on a boat and they loved it.  There was much tubing and later in the day Kade attempted to ski but couldn't quite get up.  The next morning he woke and told us that all his bones hurt.

Rhet waiting for his turn in the tube and loving his Sponge Bob life jacket.

Rhet wasn't too sure about doing it by himself but we convinced him and he LOVED it!

Mont has had a loose tooth for the past month just waiting to come out but would never let me pull it out.  On his first ride he hit a wave and it came right out.  Luckily it feel right inside the tube and we didn't have to search for it at the bottom of the lake.

Rand's turn.  He was a bit unsure if he wanted to even try the tube out but with much persuading and coaxing he gave it a try.  Should I even have to say how much he loved it.

Elle helping grandpa drive.

Kade enjoying the front all by himself.

After all the tubing was done and the boys had their fill Keith got out their and showed the boys what real skiing is.

We had a great time out on the lake and Keith was right at home in his element.  Though a boat was not high on the priority list and was a few years in the future we had a great time and can't wait to go back.  Keith and the boys are already planning our next trip.
