Let me first say that Rand has the best preschool. About every other month they go on some kind of field trip-in regards to what they have been studying-and its great because we can all go and experience something new and SO FUN!!! Over the last couple of months they have been learning about pond life and he has been able to watch tadpoles grow into frogs, caterpillars grow into butterflies and so forth. After pond life came sea life. They've learned about sharks, and octopus and whales etc. To top off what they have been learning we went on a field trip to the aquarium.
There was this deep sea diver that they could put their face in.
The boys in front of one of the many fish tanks. There were also birds walking around on the dry land.
This is Rand's best friend Danny from school. He is constantly talking about him and so we had to be with Danny and his mom as we walked around. Their teacher gave them a check sheet which is around their necks so they could circle each thing when they saw it. I asked Rand at the end if he had fun and he told me no. I asked why and he said because he didn't see the blow fish that was on his paper. I guess we'll just have to watch Finding Nemo to get that one circled!
Kade posing with one of the many giant fish. Wow-seriously sea life has to be some kind of wonderland and we only see a glimpse of it.
One of the great highlights of the aquarium was to see the sharks. It's all Rand talked about-who cares about the fish, he wanted the sharks. I found some YouTube videos of sharks and ever since then he has been singing the Jaws theme song.
Crush from Finding Nemo was also a highlight. They loved the sea turtles.
At the end of the exhibit they had a pool full of sting rays that the boys could touch. Rand didn't want to but Kade did and they felt like slimy snakes.
It was pretty cool to see these sea creatures up close and personal-thank goodness for glass walls because other wise my boys would have been swimm'n with the fishies!

Once again what a fun activity for the boys! I'll definitely be showing Parker this post. I am jealous they touched a sting ray.
